01The project

Extension of one of Nairobi's landmark shopping destinations: new mall, conference and meeting facilities, restaurants, and the 215-key Trademark Hotel, linked to the existing centre.

The constraint

Blending old and new architecture into one continuous destination while the existing mall traded on.

The move

The new build was threaded into the old through courtyards and internal streets; consultants, suppliers and tenants coordinated across the full 86,000 m².

The outcome

Full cycle from design to handover. Recognized with a token of appreciation from the client at the opening ceremony.

Delivered by Anvi Shah as Project Lead & Senior Architect with a previous practice, before founding Createch Architects.
