A new 125-key hotel with pool, gym, spa, conference facilities and restaurants.
The constraint
Effectively a retrofit of a new building: main structures were already built under a previous architect, the use case changed mid-stream from serviced residences to a 5-star-plus boutique hotel, on a heavily contoured site.
The move
Redesign within the built frame: new requirements absorbed without disturbing completed structure, with consultants coordinated across UAE, India and South Africa and details resolved through live site surveys.
The outcome
Design, production and execution through construction, changes incorporated while building continued.
Delivered by Anvi Shah as Senior Architect with a previous practice, before founding Createch Architects.
